The Final Conflict

The Cantankerous Catholic Episode

Episode 46:

Jesus told us we have to be attuned to the signs of the times. I’ve tried to be just that. All of the signs I’m seeing are glum, at best. When we take time to think about them, these signs are actually frightening to most of us. They shouldn’t be, though. Now, more than ever, is the time to be optimistic about the future and everything that’s going on in the world. Tune in for a full explanation!

What We Believe… Why We Believe It—the weekly bulletin insert to educate your parishioners!

No one disputes that today’s Catholic lacks knowledge of the faith.  That’s the reason so many are leaving the Church (6.5 people leave for every one who becomes a Catholic)—they simply don’t know the faith. But the What We Believe… Why We Believe It system can change all that. Within a year of reading What We Believe… Why We Believe It, your parishioners will know exactly what they believe… and be able to defend those beliefs.

What We Believe… Why We Believe It works because…

  •  It’s intrusive (70% of Catholics get 100% of their information from the weekly bulletin)
  • Each issue is in engaging
  • Far from boring catechism, each issue is highly informative of orthodoxy without being “highbrow”
  • With the JoeSixpackAnswers.com website and weekly webinars, your parishioners have a source where they can ask questions when you’re not available

The final conflict. My only comments would be that once again you made me laugh and that as usual your absolutely correct.
Society has taken a nose dive I’ve seen it first hand. I am a conservative catholic who loves and leans on his faith but all four of my daughters have turned away from the faith.
Please don’t take offense when I say you make me laugh. But I have to tell tell you that if my daughters were to listen to you they would not have pleasant reactions put it mildly. In other words I think the choir would be the only group that would lend you a cooperative ear.
That said I enjoy your work keep it up
    Best wishes and warm regards
    Pat Clarke
PS. Please pray for my girls

      Pat,

Thanks for the feedback… and the compliment. Please know with moral certitude your daughters will be in my prayers. I must say, though, that I think your daughters may not react to me as you suggest, especially if they dialog with me. Oddly, the demographics for this show say the majority of listeners are 18-35, and they’re 52% males and 48% female

I have to laugh because I’ve got a big mouth. Kinda like my ma in that I tend to shoot from the hip.Im very close to my daughters despite that little part of my personality.
Over the years they have come to know what way my compass is going to point.
Your to much like me so I know the reaction having had to deal with it many times. But I’m almost 61 and despite our radical difference of opinions we are fairly tight. So you see even though they think my compass is off why in the heck are we so close? I know the answer to that question hopefully someday they will too. Thanks for your prayers and btw you can be sure I’ll be sending some up for you as well Thanks
