What We Believe… Why We Believe It—the weekly bulletin insert to educate your parishioners!
No one disputes that today’s Catholic lacks knowledge of the faith. That’s the reason so many are leaving the Church (6.5 people leave for every one who becomes a Catholic)—they simply don’t know the faith. But the What We Believe… Why We Believe It system can change all that. Within a year of reading What We Believe… Why We Believe It, your parishioners will know exactly what they believe… and be able to defend those beliefs.
What We Believe… Why We Believe It works because…
- It’s intrusive (70% of Catholics get 100% of their information from the weekly bulletin)
- Each issue is in engaging
- Far from boring catechism, each issue is highly informative of orthodoxy without being “highbrow”
- With the JoeSixpackAnswers.com website and weekly webinars, your parishioners have a source where they can ask questions when you’re not available

The Wanderer—America’s Oldest Independent Catholic Newspaper
More and more Catholics and Christians will be tested in their faith as our culture continues its collision course with the eternal truths of our Church in the days ahead. The importance of a strong Catholic press in a society where Christianity is threatened on a daily basis is more essential today than ever.
The biased, selective, and casual coverage of events by the secular media that influence our culture has contributed to the pervasive “tolerance” of evil today. Persecution of Christians from the genocide in the Middle East to the continued attacks on Christians by the media, the courts and the legislative system go virtually unchallenged and unreported by the major media today. The media, rather than reporting the news, have become aggressive advocates of agendas behind the news, thus becoming contributors to the moral decay in our society, permeating our families, churches, schools, and much of society at large.
Even within the highest levels of the Catholic Church, there is a prevalent movement to conform 2,000 years of doctrine to the disordered influences of the times with a more than willing media to help.
Much of the mainstream press today has simply become facilitators and apologists for progressive left causes. Witness the one-sided influence the media displayed during the recent elections and then their near apocalyptic reaction after learning the results – not to mention their total astonishment that they could be so out of touch with mainstream America.
If you are tired of being force-fed “news” and propaganda from those longtime champions of abortion, “gay marriage,” climate change, and the all around abundance of Godlessness of our current culture and every other politically correct trend of the day, there is a refreshing alternative for you. For 150 years, The Wanderer has been telling it as it is: exposing the forces, factions, and fallacies that adversely impact our families, churches, and our culture.
If you believe that as Catholics and Christians we must resist the influences of our current culture and confront the forces that are destroying our nation and help restore our families and society to one whose members respect and promote the laws of God, then we must start by becoming more informed on these issues. And we must engage our fellow Catholics as well as teach and defend the tenets of the Catholic faith! The Wanderer newspaper is unmatched in its 150-year history of defending those values and providing an informed resistance to the immoral influences threatening both our churches and our culture.
Therefore, if you value traditional family values, the Catholic faith, the sanctity of human life, and conservative principles and are concerned about the course of this country, our Church, our culture, and the future of your children and grandchildren, I invite you to subscribe to The Wanderer.

OK. I heard every word. This guy is the poster child for why Catholicism is often not even remotely considered Christian. He certainly makes points about following the commandments. The hypocrisy that this man speaks, however, is beyond the scope of description. He lost me with the Obama admonitions, as well as his labeling state governments as “Fascist”, as well as his support for denying eulogies DESPITE THEM BEING FOR THE SURVIVORS; by deifying John Paul II despite the FACT that man was one of the major reasons why so many innocent people were abused because of his fear of unmasking the “holy” church during his reign of arrogance; by twice extolling Donald Trump despite him being among the least Christian persons on the planet. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to leave the Catholic Church more than I do right now after hearing this asshole. If I was dying in the street he came to hear my confession, I would literally grab a prisoner to hear it before I would this asshole. And one more thing – he conveniently forgets that the people protesting were mostly peaceful so he wants to peaceful protesters to stop protesting because of, to borrow one of his terms, the “rat poison” of some. Ummm. Hypocrite much?! He also completely – completely – misses the mark about the anger of what has become of black people for centuries of abuse. And then he minimizes what happened to George Floyd.
Thanks for reaching out, Jay.
Based on what you’re saying, either you’re a non-Catholic who is just trolling, or you’re a Catholic who has absolutely no idea what the Catholic Church has taught in her constant 2000 year teachings. I’d be happy to teach you, one-on-one, but I suspect you’re confident you already believe what you want–no matter how it differs from actual Church teaching.
FYI, calling a priest an a__hole is a sacrilege, which is a mortal sin, so I’d recommend not presenting yourself for Communion until you go to confession. And it sounds like leaving the Church might be the right thing for you to do, because Protestants do things more to your liking; however, I’d recommend you read Lumen Gentium 14 first.
Finally, you obviously don’t understand what fascism is, because every single stay-at-home order was fascistic. In many cases, those orders suppressed every single one of our God-given rights that the US Constitution promises that the federal government would protect.
Joe six pack, your response to Jay did not seem very Catholic much lessChrist like. You just totally lost any credibility in my view. I know he came across strong and probably set you off but he had really valid points. Your response was at the same level as his.—total testosterone macho stuff. . I don’t know where you are going with this but you seem to have your own very unique religious beliefs, which are not at all consistent. With what the 16 years of Catholic education taught me. Maybe step back from all the attention you’re getting as an outlier and go back to basics. I am sure that you have it in you to do better than this. Just my own unique personal perspective. Have a good day🙂
Phyllis,
I never got notice that this comment was made, so I apologize for not responding almost a year ago.
No, Jay did not have any valid points. Fr. Altman was 100% correct. Perhaps your 16 years of Catholic education was defective.
Yes! 👍
HI Joe, God Bless you for featuring Fr.James Altman’s homily. What he said was all true. If we have a huge belief that we worship the The One true God, we should not be afraid of this pandemic but rather be more prayerful for this to end but how can you do that when we can’t enter the house of prayers.
Truer words…
I have just finished listening to Fr Altman’s homily where he talks about the riots destroying life not just in so many American cities but in cities across the globe. His courage in calling out Archbishop Wilton Gregory is to be applauded. We certainly need more courageous priests like Fr Altman both in the US and here in Canada. May God bless him and keep him safe as he continues to preach the truth without apology.
I couldn’t agree more, Anne!
Kudos and applause for Fr Altman. He is courageous holy truth filled and I pray for his safety and ministry. Bishop Callahan support this man don’t chastise him or reprimand him; you should be proud he is your priest ministering to your flock

Father, we are the fight for our souls & humanity! You are a great warrior for Christ. Defy the bishop. That is what its going to take to get our church back! Thank You for all you do! God Bless You & protect you. Amen.
Jay you have real problem is not with Fr Altman…you have a problem with the TRUTH!
Father, your words have moved my soul. May our Savior continue to bless you and please continue to bring us the true Word.
We have been saying for years that you can’t be Catholic and vote Democrat. Period.
God speed. You are in my prayers Father
Jane,
Thanks for the comment! Fr. Altman isn’t only a priest who tell the truth, but he tells. it courageously.I’m scheduled to interview him again on November 18, and the plan is to air the interview on the day before Thanksgiving. I hope you listen to it and like it!
To whom it may concern,
My name is Fr. Stephen Arabadjis. I am a member of the Society of St. Pius X. But I am in my 7th year of Sabbatical.
Therefore I was hoping your group could do a 54 day rosary novena for my intentions. But any prayers and sacrifices would be greatly appreciated. I know Our Lady will reward you generously for this.
In Our Lady,
Fr. Arabadjis
P.S. Thanking you in advance, since I don’t always get all my communications.
Father,
Certainly Sixpack Warriors will pray for any and all priests. However, we can’t do specifically as you ask. that would be tantamount to approving of schism.
