Catechism Of The Catholic Church
Just finished listening to this heartening interview with Joe and Bishop Strickland. In his initial remarks, Joe mentioned his past criticism of Strickland as one of the orthodox bishops who somehow couldn’t summon the courage to take public stands against heretical statements and policies of his fellow bishops. Well, none of that here. Bishop Strickland comes across as modest but courageous, a model of what a true Catholic prelate should be. Now, if only his brother bishops will learn from him, the Church might still regain its Catholic identity and reverse the trend of our hierarchy to be acceptable in our ever more pagan culture. As Joe likes to say, comfort and conviction don’t live on the same street.
Thanks, Peter. Sorry I missed this comment earlier.
I think Bishop Strickland has begun a new trend among his brother orthodox bishops, based on recent events. Let’s hope it continues.
